In 2010, the European Court of Human Rights received the International Four Freedoms Award. The Freedom of Speech award went to the independent newspaper Novaya Gazeta. Asma Jahangir received the Freedom of Worship award and the Freedom from Want award went to Maurice Strong. The Freedom from Fear award was presented to Gareth Evans.
