Jacobine presented the Freedom of Worship Award to Lian Gogali.

Jacobine Geel has been chair of the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights since 1 September 2021. As head of the Institute, Jacobine speaks with the government, parliamentary bodies, civil society organisations, companies and individuals about the protection of human rights and she regularly appears in the media. She is also active as a presenter of the TV program Jacobine op 2. The dignity of people and their rights form a red thread in the work of van Geel. Just like Gogali, Geel is committed to the coexistence and cooperation of people from different backgrounds.
