A special About Freedom film will premiere on May 5, 2020 at 11 a.m.: a freedom conversation between Jan Terlouw and Leila Prnjavorac with 8 students from 4 MBO programs. This exceptional 'kitchen table conversation' was completely recorded for the first time via zoom due to coronavirus. The film is simultaneously shot in 10 kitchens spread across the Netherlands.
Everyone can attend the premiere via Facebook and YouTube and give live reactions to the film. You can register via the Facebook event.
About Freedom brings stories about freedom: from far beyond the borders to close to home and knows how to touch young and old. We make international short films about freedom, The Kitchentable Series, organize talk shows with live music and food and engage in conversation with all generations. About Freedom is part of the education program 75 years of Freedom on behalf of the National Committee on 4 and 5 May with the support of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
An MBO education package has been linked to the program, which focuses on lessons within the course 'Citizenship'. This package is also suitable to use separately from the Live Event.
Last autumn the tour started with MBOs; at the kick-off in Breda (NL), King Willem-Alexander also took part in the discussions with young people.
More information or links to the short films can be found on the About Freedom website.
