SYMPOSIUM SUSTAINABLE FUTURE LEADERS

Early February 2010, 25 students of the Roosevelt Academy and 25 students of the Hogeschool Zeeland set up a Sustainable Future leaders program. The students followed courses on sustainable development and the psychology of sustainable leadership. They were challenged to think of sustainable solutions for ten practical social problems. On  May 28, the Province of Zeeland, the Roosevelt Academy and the Hogeschool Zeeland organized a symposium at which these students presented their solutions. Their proposed solutions were discussed in a panel, which included Mr. Maurice Strong, laureate of the Freedom from Want Award 2010 and co-founder of Earth Charter which celebrated its 10^th anniversary in June 2010.
